All Lives Matter – Donald Trump or George Floyd !
While we are already sick of dealing with destruction due to COVID. In the latest news, The whole of the internet is flooded with protests in the USA against the killing of a black man by white police officials. The video of George Floyd begging the officer to spare his life is heart-wrenching. There are many protesters and many other supporters who are rioting looting and damaging public property. They all stand in solidarity against the death of black men and against racial discrimination. But is looting and rioting the best approach to go forward? Why have we come to a point like this?
It gets me thinking As a world of latest technological advances, where our scientists each day are progressing at great speed and length, man has reached several other planets in the solar system, etc , where educational advances, latest developments in almost all fields, genetic engineering, etc such complex and great achievements have been achieved by human beings then why are we still actually regressive in our thoughts and ideologies as a race? What made us believe that a fairer skin or a particular religion or caste system makes us better than others?
Why we are still discriminating based on the color of our flesh? Why we still spread and propagate hate based on caste, creed, color, religion? Why our so-called educated and advanced minds still resort to looting, killing, rioting? Why the value of another human being’s life did not mean anything to us and we differentiate on the basis of things absolutely ridiculous and unexplainable.who creates these biases? Who has given us the license to divide the world based on our own whims and fancies? Who has permitted you to believe you are better and more important than someone else? Who has authorized you to think of yourself superior? Who has designated you supreme?
Do not claim to be a progressive race or an advanced species if these things still hold so much weightage in our world. We are a regressive breed. All human life matter equally. The life of a human being is very important irrespective of any other criteria. The color of your skin or the god you worship cannot make you special or more important than anyone else.
Respect all humanity and save it. The virus will not kill you all. You will end up doing much better job yourselves to end the world
