Cracking the balance code

balance, life, kaizentrainingsolutions

Life is a potpourri of actions, emotions and expressions. Sometimes we are driven by our emotional side and many a times, our radical side rules over us. Everyday we wish to strike a synergy between the two. We get pushed and shoved by our daily life and feel that we will not be able to make it to the next level. Ever imagines, why does this happen to us?

Life does not offer guarantees for achieving perfect happiness or for fulfilment our desires. Let us examine the causes which create upheavals in our life.

In a nutshell, we are the owner of two sides which rest within us. Our emotional side is represented through love, pain, hate, anger, care, frustration, positivism and negativity. At the radical end, we think logically to deal with the nitty-gritty of daily life. There is a clear bifurcations here, which we usually miss to notice on a day to day basis. Experiencing highs and lows is part of the whole package called life. But when the pressure builds on us arising due to a stressful or demanding situation and reaches a threshold, the balance of life can go for a toss! Clashes of interests, insecurity and burden of our own individual desires start taking a toll on all of us. With so much to complain about and less to appreciate or even vice versa, we still acknowledge life as the next dear thing.

Balance is a significant ingredient of our life and often most ignored, too. It does not come easily unless diligently practiced and followed. Very few think of exploring the tricks, techniques to clear the clouds of confusion and experience the heavenly pleasure of a balanced life. What we require is a little mindfulness and realization of facts. It’s tricky but very much possible!

Implement strategies

Whether we are single or committed, living independent or with parents, a balanced is achievable by walking few easy steps. Enjoyment, fun and a time sans stress is desired by many but very few plan to work for it. We regularly get trapped in negative thoughts. Emotions like frustration, anger, hatred are the main culprits behind this. Therefore, to cultivate positivism in our daily lives should be our number one priority for maintaining a healthy balance in life. Simple yet feasible strategies such as sighting our weaknesses, stringent control over emotions, clarity of thoughts, restraining negativity with positive thoughts, gratitude and expression of own self can work wonders!

Manage

Management is not merely a corporate lingo but a keyword to be used by every millennial. Management fits every walk of our life. From baking a cake to driving a car, management skills are irreplaceable. Management of tasks you perform daily should be considered the next essential thing. A simple way to walk the first step of management is by allocation of time invested in each task. Maintain a personal scheduler or a diary and jot down crucial events with deadlines. Gradually, you will be able to build a systematic process to deal with life’s surprises. Gaining control of your own life starts with effective management of your daily chores, whether in relationships or at work. It will also help you to keep track of not-to-be-missed life events.

Delimit

Define the limits of emotional and mental tolerance. Resilience may be regarded as a sought after personality trait, however, to remove the over bearing chaos, defining limits in terms of personal or professional relations is the best solution. The motive behind demarcation is not social disconnection but respecting those who value you and vice versa. Loving relationships should not bear the brunt of toxic ones. For instance, an insult or intentional criticism must not lead to a conflict; a mindful response considering the circumstances is an example of determining boundaries that don’t hurt either side. This needs to be followed with our own selves as much with others.

And last but not the least.

Value yourself

When we value our own selves first, we are far more capable of balancing our relations with others. Establishing clarity of thoughts and having realistic expectations when we deal with family, friends, peers or seniors. Consciously seek for some “me time”, pursue your interests to break the monotony. Make efforts to keep others happy too, develop sense of empathy and connect with people. Go for activities that boost your physical and mental well-being.

End Note: Our life is what and how we built it. Result of our actions, reactions and thoughts construct the world around us. Thus, investing in positivism, humility and gratefulness will reap rewards. Give up on negative thoughts, overthinking, and self-criticism. Life is too precious to be wasted.
