What extra should I do during my graduation to prepare for an interview ?

Q- What extra should I do during my graduation to prepare for an interview ?

A- This is a brilliant question! I often suggest students that in one day or during your placements you can’t expect a magical shift in your behaviour, personality or attitude.

If you want people to give compliments for: your dressing, for you have amazing communication skills, awareness of current affairs, your confidence in speaking with strangers or people in senior positions.

Then YOU really have to work hard !
It’s good that you have time ( since you are in graduation)I don’t know what exactly you are doing for preparation of interviews, but I will suggest you few tips –

Remember People perceive in three ways :- Visual (V) – People who are visual will start picturing what you say / Auditory (A) – People who are auditory will start perceiving things when they listen something / Kinesthetic (K) – People who are kinesthetic will perceive things in feelings , if you cover all these three ways then you can master any Interview.

Tips-

1- For (V) – Look absolutely stunning: Start dressing up in formals so that when the D day comes ( Interview day) you can carry it perfectly well. Also when you speak, use more Visual words and the interviewer will start seeing what you will say. Like when you tell a story of a movie people start visualising it.

2- For (A) – For auditory people who perceive things through listening, create an amazing introduction of yours which has more usage of auditory words.

You might have seen people who keep seeing down or elsewhere when you are speaking because they are listening and picturing whatever you are saying.

3- For ( K) – For Kinesthetic use words which has feelings involved in your introduction.

Now you may ask, that how will I get to know that the interviewer is visual, auditory or kinesthetic then I will say that use a perfect blend of these three that no body is left.

Like if you have heard president OBAMA’s wining speech which has covered all three VAK elements. And every one knows that it got so popular and accepted by almost everyone.

So start –

A- Start reading newspapers.

B- Practice writing your introduction using VAK.

C- Start focusing on formal dressing.

D- Start doing mirror practice.

E- Ask possible questions from your self assuming you are an interviewer.

I bet if you start doing these things then you will be confident enough to face any interview.

All the best !
