“Nothing is permanent” is a familiar phrase that keeps flashing back and forth in our lives. From early on, life teaches us that everything in our life – relations, emotions, finances are subject to change. Whatever we come across or go through can change within a few years. Despite knowing this universal truth, we cling on to the old and refrain from adopting the new, as long as possible.
What exactly a change refers to? Change is an intangible aspect yet very powerful which causes major or minor shifts in our lives in terms of personal, professional, financial, social or emotional spaces. When the change is on the threshold, we tend to feel confused or anxious about the next steps to be taken in life. We are pushed out of our comfort zones or from the status quo towards a new frontier with or without preparations. And this is why changes often bring chaos or temporary unrest. The main reason of change being synonymous to chaos is the prevalence of the confusing state that prevails until the struggle is over. When something new shows up in our life, instinctively, we start to act anxious. Rather than looking at the positive factors a change might bring, we start figuring out its new implications. Not every change is identical and occurs to push us out of our comfort zones. Some changes help us explore new shores in the guise of an opportunities, which eventually supports us in reaching the goals of our life. Thus, we must not refrain ourselves from viewing Change in the positive light. Change can easily be seen in smallest of aspects that we experience, almost every day. The natural cycle of physical changes that happen from childhood to a fully grown young adult, depict common changes. With such changes, we are designed to cope up every single day, no matter how uneasy they may be at first. Also, our mental abilities change with as we age, from a playful childish mind to a fully-fledged, independent young adult, is one of the massive change of our lives. The moods, behavioural patterns or emotions too portray changes that we fail to notice. In a prism, when a ray of light passes through it, then through the prism it get distributed in more than one rays of multiples hues. This effect is magical as well as learning for a viewer. And similarly, one change may bring string of opportunity then why not strive to make the most out of every change.
New Opportunities Knock
Do not misunderstand the change that’s ushering. At times, when a new opportunity knocks on our door, you might be required to change your job, domicile or even your much loved friend circle. Job changes are a common factors, that generally requires a person to shift his/her schedule, commute, type of work, environment etc. Such kinds of shifts pave way for major adjustment and while we are expected to compromise at certain fronts, we get to enjoy benefits like an increased financial remuneration or better chances to establish a good professional network. So before under rating it, think what change has in store for you.
Chance to gain experiences
When we leave the status quo and move towards the new, we create memories of the past that we can cherish all along the way in the journey of life. We also get a chance to collect experiences worth sharing with others. And gradually, as we go ahead we are able to figure out what value we received with each changes that occurred.
Opportunity to Grow
During the status quo, we are least bothered about growing ourselves from inside out. We are more focussed on what is happening in our lives on a day to day basis. Monotony cripples our thinking capabilities. A change unleashes chances to look within as much as to observe what is occurring around us. Changes often shape our perspective for betterment.
A Call to Act
Usually changes require us to act. Sometimes, we are stuck in a state where it simply becomes difficult for us to move, neither forward nor backward. Change is a call for us to act. We are asked to be decisive and take steps towards a new stance or continue with the old one. Changes work as a reminder for us to simply act on time!
End Note: Changes open our minds and help us grown as an individual. Our stance towards a minor or a major change should be positive and constructive. By nature, humans are not built to stand at one point throughout their lives. Leaving the urge to resist a change could be the best move towards a bright future.
