People learn from their mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes in life, no matter what age, position or gender of the person. However, people learn many lessons from their mistakes and eventually understand to make the best of the lessons they learned to be successful in life.
Small example, Thomas Edison tried two thousand different materials in search of a filament for the light bulb. When none worked satisfactorily, his assistant complained, “All our work is in vain. We have learned nothing.”
Edison replied very confidently, “Oh, we have come a long way and we have learned a lot. We now know that there are two thousand elements which we cannot use to make a good light bulb.”So, from this Experience he is not able to find the correct filament but he get to know that these filaments are not use for the light bulb. This is the learning for him.
Another example, the tortoise and the hare story, where the hare loses the race because he’s careless and does not correct his own mistakes, which turns into the tortoises favor. Everyone makes mistakes, how much you learn from the mistake and how fast you bound back is the most crucial. The Hare, realizing his mistake in first race, admit that he was negligent and willing to face his own mistakes and bound back from his mistake. He doesn’t hide away or cry somewhere deep in the wood in humiliation. He faces his mistake and asked for a rematch.
Likewise, people do learn from their mistakes and they correct them for the better. Mistakes are here in life to help people grow stronger and smarter. This word mistake derives meaning only by comparison to what we desire, what we see as success. Nothing and admitting our mistakes helps us get in touch with our commitments—what we really want to be, do, and have. Most of us have a long history of putting ourselves down when we blow it. But it’s a self- defeating habit we must break so that we can start appreciating ourselves, mistakes and all. At last, Mistakes allow us to inspire others.
