Question 7. How to answer : “what is the reason for your poor grades?” in interviews?
Answer. I will start this answer with three major questions which will make you think( forget your grades while answering these to yourself).
- What is your aim in life ? Who you want to become ?
- Why this interview ?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses ?
I believe NO report card can tell anyone’s caliber, report card will tell only few numbers.
There are many legendary personalities who had bad academic profile but they are highly successful in the work where they are passionate.
Is this job your dream or will lead to your dream ?
If the answer is yes, then I am sure that you will convince interviewer about the same no matter what. Just be true to yourself and the interviewer about your life.
(There are many jobs which involves not much grades but they are highly paid)
But if it’s a NO, then reconsider for this interview because you will be wasting your time for sure.
You will not reach to your destination ( GOAL) No matter how fast you run on a road which will lead you to a wrong direction, while if you walk slowly and steadily in a right direction..You know you will reach someday.
